Community Service
Rationale
Through participation in community service programs, students assume meaningful roles and respond to real needs of their society as well as to their own need. We hope to nurture students the essential values and train their generic skills in order to become contributive citizens so as “humble leaders”.
Objectives
- To raise students’ social awareness
- To connect what students learn in school to the real world
- To develop students leadership and collaboration skills
- To nurture students’ empathy and the value of “more blessed to give than to receive”
Volunteer Service Team & Uniform Groups
Members learn the serving and communication skills through training. They participate in and initiate different service activities.
Whole School Approach
All students have opportunities to participate in service activities in various areas, such as flag-selling, storytelling and hosting game booths for children.
