Progress of Major Concerns of the School Development Plan –Teachers’ Professional Development
Teachers’ professional development in November concerned the progress of the implementation of major concerns of the School Development Plan. Our school uses 4 years as a cycle to facilitate school development, and actualize the expected outcome of the major concerns through concrete tasks each year. The third cycle of school development plan comprises of four academic years of 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15, with the major concerns of curriculum planning, liaison with parents and career planning. The professional development activities in November include, (1) a revision of core concepts such as ‘SWOT analysis’, ‘School Development Plan’, ‘School Annual Plan’, ‘Achievements and Reflections of Major Concerns’; (2) enhancement of basic understanding and seeking consensus on ‘School Annual Plan, 2014/15’ and ‘Achievements and Reflections of the Major Concerns in 2013/14’; (3) Initiate the 4th cycle of School Development Plan and formulate concrete tasks.
