Reflections of our fellow students
Reflections of our fellow students
[Foshan-Shaoguan Visiting Mission / Lam Chi Chuen (3D2)]
[Foshan-Shaoguan Visiting Mission / Bhavani Chandrasekar(3D1)]
This trip was very fun and educational. I have met some new friends in Hui Hai Secondary School, but I think that there was not enough time, as soon as I got close to them, we had to leave. I think that the trip would have been better if it was longer as we were always rushing and not following the schedule. I have learned a lot about the daily lives of the students in Hui Hai Secondary School, and a lot of cultural differences of different parts of China. I would love to go to Foshan and Shaoguan again and I would recommend these places to my friends if they ever plan to visit China.
[Foshan-Shaoguan Visiting Mission / Wong Yin Tsit (3E)]
[Guangdong Industry Study Tour/ Yeung Sui Ping (5D)]
[Guangdong Industry Study Tour/Liu Ziying (5E)]
[Shanghai Exchange Tour and Economic Forum of post-Universal Exposition / Ng Kwong Chuk(5D)]
[Shanghai Exchange Tour and Economic Forum of post-Universal Exposition / Wang Xinyi (5D)]
[Experience Tour, Ming Chuan University of Taiwan / Chen Yanting(5E)]

I am a student of Delia Memorial School (Hip Wo). I got a chance to go to Taiwan to learn about studying abroad and of course about the environment, culture and etc. Let me start by saying, people in Taiwan are very friendly and hospitable to the point where I don’t want to leave……My friend and my sister they are studying in Taiwan and I got to meet some of them to Taiwan and their people I say thank you for your hospitality.
[Summer Camp, Shoufu University, Taiwan / Xu Ruihong(4D)]
[Macau Study Tour (Cultural Heritage and Hospitality industry) / Mohammad Rabia 5C)]
Going to Macau was an extraordinary experience. I believe the trip was beyond enjoyable, yet very educational. The trip taught us more about customer service and MICE events. Looking at the hotel procedures by our own is very helpful as we can apply the things we heard, seen, and touched in our exams in the future, such as the hotel operations.
[Putonghua Summer Camp / Mangaccat Kazumi (4C)]
The Putonghua Summer Course was a great experience since it was my first time to join such an intensive course. I was worried it was going to be like a normal school day. But then it was totally different from it. I learned much faster and the teacher Ms. Wang was really fun. Everyone got along quite well and made new friends. After the program, we still use our Putonghua for fun in school. We talk to the teachers with simple Putonghua phrases and words. Our favorite word until now is “taxi”.
[Putonghua Summer Camp / Nina Mercado (4B)]
I joined the Putonghua learning course to enhance my language skill. However, I thought I would not make it because to learn Putonghua for only 2 weeks and have an exam in China was quite a huge pressure on us. However, we did make it through. I learned how to greet in Putonghua, I learned basic communication skills within two weeks, the technic might be a bit silly though because I learned mostly by the games we played. I even learned how to count and a song called “The moon represents my heart” I enjoyed every bit of time I spent with everyone because not only did I learn a lot, I also met a lot of new friends.
