Hip Wo Channel— The Campus TV

The Campus TV was founded in 2007. Apart from the necessary video-recording equipment, a mini studio is also available.  The programs are shown in ‘Hip Wo Channel’, which students watch every day (at 11: 05 – 11: 20) via the Internet. The Hip Wo Channel lasts for 15 minutes and there are 2 types of programs available: News Digest (10 mins), Music-for-all or Features (5 mins).  In 2014/15, there are 32 weeks, with a total of 150 days of programs. Of all the programs there were 150 news digests, 134 music-for alls, 16 features as well as 15 promotional clips of school activities. Generally speaking, the programs are of wide variety (see appendix 1) and student producers (see appendix 2) fully exert their creativity and learn a lot in the process.

Keeping abreast of recent trends, we are planning the future developments of the Campus TV, with the following 3 directions: (1) expanding the scale of Campus TV, enriching its equipment and other resources. (2) Constructing a school-based campus TV, under the principle of ‘promoting multiculturalism and building an inclusive school in harmony’. (3) Fostering the development of Campus TV using the concept of ‘Internet Plus’.
