Celebrating two decades of students’ interflow between Xu Hai and Hip Wo
This year marks the 20th anniversary of students’ interflow between our school and Xu Hai Secondary School. Every year, the interflow is divided into two legs, where a 20-student delegation of Hip Wo will pay a visit to Foshan in July and likewise, a student delegation from Xu Hai will cross the border and spend 5 days (1st August to 5th August) in the second leg with us. This interflow allows our students to learn more about the Chinese culture and history of China whilst a platform for our counterparts to learn more about a designated theme such as heritage conservation, environmental conservation and constitutional affairs of Hong Kong. This year, Typhoon Nida, which was raised to signal 8 on 1st August, welcomed our guests but did not deter the much anticipated hype for the array of exchange activities awaiting for them. Nida actually gave the guests and our students a more get-to-know-each- other moments and fruitful learning on the topic of heritage conservation and gourmet paradise of Hong Kong.
