Alumni Serve as Inspiration

Over the years, our graduates have been able to achieve much success. It is hoped that this success can inspire present students to strive for advancement. Two alumni, Jeffery Andrews, graduate of class 2002, and Tran Viet Anh, graduate of class 2012, deserve notable mention.

Mr Andrews, one of the first Non-Chinese speaking registered social workers, was recently awarded the Secretary of Home Affairs’ Commendation Award for his dedicated service and outstanding contributions to creating racial harmony and integration in Hong Kong.

Mr Tran has earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics from City University with a first class honours. He awaits enlistment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam as an economic officer.

It is through inspiring role models like Mr Andrews and Mr Tran that proves Hip Wo’s motto correct: all students can “Strive for advancement, despite adversity.”

For further stories of Hip Wo alumni, the school will launch HW Human Library – a video-based web page for alumni who have a story to tell about their contributions to society.
