Learning diversity beyond Hong Kong’s border
During the Easter Break, a group of 22 students in S4 and S5 embarked on a 6-day learning journey to Guizhou (Kweichow) in China to learn more about cultural diversity. Guizhou is a picturesque place with abundant natural and cultural scenic spots. Students were not only able to appreciate and make selfies in various attractions but also discover the rich and distinctive folk customs and cultures of 48 out of 55 ethnic groups of China, in particular the Miao and Dong. From students’ verbatim, they were able to experience their simple original living habits, appreciate the unique architectural styles and appreciate their exotic and colorful costumes and many more. Now, stay tuned as these students are in their final touch-up on their post-trip learning report.
