Last year, our school and Sau Mau Ping Police District launched Harmonious Pyramid Project (HPP) to cater for the Chinese language skills needed for disciplinary forces. HPP is a refined version of Project Gemstone where it is aimed at equipping our aspired Hipwoers with a Chinese literacy competence and schema to enlist them to various disciplinary forces after their completion of their secondary studies.
This explains why you see 20 plus students and other friends attended the Chinese classes in the evening hours in the school campus. Recently, Steward Alexander Parin, a Scottish and Thai non-Ethnic Chinese, was in our program and graduated with flying colors. He was awarded with the Shave Cup, the Silver Whistle and the Commissioner’s Certificate of Academic Merit. Besides, he was a regular for U23 Hong Kong Football team too. Our students who attended the passing out ceremony in the Police College was motivated and inspired.
If you happen to be living in North Point, you would be able to see him preforming his policing duty. Stay tunned, Alex will be visiting us soon!
